a LOT of things has happened since my last post. So much in fact, that I do not know where to start. I guess, I'll have to start from my title "new life".
It resonates with my college's motto, quoted from dante: Incipit Vita Nova, here begins a new life.
Yes, thats true. Here on forward, there is no use looking back on where I've done wrong, but I will look and run forward to be what I will be- the best.
The best doesn't neccesarily impeccable academic record or rows of trophies. The best is giving the best shot and getting back up every time we fall.
We fall- You fall, he falls, she falls, I fall (no, i usually stumble and crash). But then I get back up again. We all do.
Being finally in Wellesley College brings both excitement and anxiety together at the same time, making me look no better than a nervous wreck.
Seriously.
So many had happened in the past few days that it feels like I've been on campus for months.
This campus is just full of amazing, talented, kick-ass women whom I would study, build the sisterhood, compete and share hopes and fears with.
I feel like Im one damn lucky girl. We all Wellesley students are. :)
With such beautiful campus in a petite beautiful town, every day is a scenic walk from one building to the other.
Only Hogwarts actually rivals the elegance and beauty of this ol' structure. And yeah, we even have our own platform 9 3/4. No kidding. Its painted on the brick wall.
It doesnt get us to hogwarts express, it does provide a short cut to the academic quad. I think thats good enough. Hahhahaha
In a few weeks I would occupy my time studying my brains out- and enjoying it. >~<
anyway, Im going to go off topic right now.
Jumping to several days before I even arrive in Wellesley.
O well, in short, Im in love. And o yeah, bein in love is a very enjoyable sensation. It feels great and wonderful. (but it doesnt impair my judgement, mind u hohohoho)
I used to dream having a special someone to be with.
I woke up this morning realizing...wait...its not a dream anymore, we send each other 'i love you s' almost every day.
Im so happy.
This is one of the most literal experiences of a dream come true. And it feels so dang good.

wow-ing and annoying occurences of today
okk...
lets start with the wow-ing view i saw...well maybe not THAT wow-ing but still..
i was in Taman Anggrek mall this afternoon, walkin by myself, when i notice two school girls, probably just 1 or 2 years younger than me walking the opposite direction. Well, they were talking and having fun. No..wait, they were not exactly talking, but 'talking' in sign language. That is when i realize that they dont 'talk'.
But they looked ultimately happy and enjoying themselves...strolling in TA...
Most of the people i saw strolling in TA doesnt even look as happy as them
This brought me into self thinking...and i realize several points:
!. Happines is not attained by having; but by using what we have to the fullest. Be creative and inventive :D
!!. We sometimes takes things for granted. We dont realize and appreciate what we have, instead we keep on looking above, wanting more and more
Thank you girls...for showing me a new perspective
Anyway...moving on into annoying..
Still in TA... waiting for my mother to finish he yoga/fit ball core class.
There is a little girl jumping around behind me with her nanny. I am not very fond of little brats. And no, i dont find them cute or appealing at all. And no, you wont be able to convince me otherwise.
Anyway..i was pretty annoyed by the fact of her existence behind me, but as long as she doesnt cross my teritorry, then i shall refrain from opening fire.
Well, she did.
And a lady did also. The lady was on my left side, the girl+nanny on my right.
And they started talking, like 'oooh what a cute little girl, how old is she?'
"oh she is 2'
'shes small'
At that moment it takes a lot of self control not to answer back, 'D-OHH she IS 2'
anyway the conversation continues as to whats her name, so your about to school..yada yada yada ugh
So instead on listening on their conversation, I focused on my mom's class. I never understand why people actually enjoy doing yoga so much (no pun intended yoga lovers out there)
Yoga forces you into positions that is simply impossible for the human body, either you are impossibly flexible, impossibly insane, not human (eg. snake) or all three.
Face it, we are made to bend and snap, no to bend-lift one leg up-squat-put ur arms here-lock ur abbs- and snap.
And they were like putting their legs up in the air...
@_@
anyway...another major annoyment is when adults snap at everybody just because they are pissed off (most of the time, they arent particularly pissed of at the person they snapped at)
But i ate sour sally and some udon (unlikely combination)
so im pretty much happy now Xp

jakarta, hate it, love it, its my city
Just this Monday, my friend from Holland came to stay at my place for three days and two nights. YAAAYYY!!! His name is Jan, he's kinda..errr ol*..but very funny and kind
I wass so excited that he was coming over.
The problem is: WHERE the HECK shud i take him
i live in a crampy jak-freakin-arta for heavens sake, what cud i possibly show him,,,monasss?? oh..purr-leasseee xp
anyway
me and father took him for lunch at Marche restaurant in plaza senayan. I just love the decor and ambiance, it is a fun place to chat and eat. Nevertheless Jan said that the food was great..so good. yeahh
then, comes the hard part--sightseeing
my dad came up with an idea to go to the sunda kelapa harbour. 17 years i've lived in this city, i've only been there once. i just remember seeing lotsa ships there. no big deal
ohhh...how wrooonggg i wass
yes, there are ships, but not just ships! pinishi ships carrying cargo to all sorts of place. the place is soo full of life and color. it was indeed very interesting, Jan also enjoyed it
Then we when to the fish harbour, via a slum area. It is quite ironic how the slum area is facing a quite prestigeous housing complex. But slowy, as i was explaining to Jan about stuff around Jakarta, i have this new sense of appreciation for this city.
Everyday i past the same damn road to go to school, that i dont even pay attention to it anymore. But now that i have some explaining to do for Jan, i began to notice the small details and began to notice small wonders of this city.
at the fish market, it was very windy, yet the sky displayed one of the most glorious sunset i've ever seen. the wind blew some salt water into our faces. and now i just realize, how much i'm gonna miss this city when i'm gone.
i love this place... for better, for worse..if only others could start to also appreaciate the hidden beauty in this place :)
There is still lots of room for development and im sure Jakarta has a very promising future :)
Good luck to all of us :D
